"Time to Relax" is the first track on The Offspring's 1994 third album, Smash. Rather than a song, it is an intro track spoken by Jason "Blackball" McLean, who informs listeners that "it's time to relax" and tells them what to do in order to listen to the album. This is the first Offspring track not to feature vocals by Dexter Holland. "Time to Relax" does not appear on the cassette version, making "Nitro (Youth Energy)" the first track on that format.

Lyrics

Aaaah... it's time to relax, and you know what that means.
A glass of wine, your favorite easy chair, and of course, this compact disc playing on your home stereo.
So go on, and indulge yourself, that's right!
Kick off your shoes, put your feet up.
Lean back and just enjoy the melodies.
After all, music soothes even the savage beast.
